Hello! Welcome to Whitmire Photography! My name is Tara Whitmire, and my husband Jasun and I started this business 9 years ago unintentionally. Our oldest daughter was born prematurely, and we immediately fell in love with her. And we also loved every one of her facial features, her hands, feet, etc. (Like Most new parents do). She spent 10 days in the NICU in respiratory distress, and at one point the doctor told us the the next 12 hours would be critical. A nice camera and a dream of capturing her every breath became all that we cared about. Our daughter, Brynn came home full of spunk and colic and we continued to capture her every milestone. Friends and family enjoyed our photos and began asking us to capture their children. A friend asked us to shoot a wedding. And, the rest is history.

I approach each session, each wedding, and each event with the notion that my client is family. I cherish being able to capture your milestones as much as I still enjoy capturing our own. I am so thankful for client loyalty, and I love meeting new clients! 

I, (Tara) capture all Studio Sessions, Mini Sessions, Newborn Sessions, Engagements, and Birth Sessions. Jasun and I are a husband and wife Wedding Dream Team! We spend most of our weekends chasing this dream together. Sometimes we split off and do separate weddings on the same day. In addition to ourselves we have a TEAM of amazing people who assist us in making our Weddings what they are. 

A little about us- We love our daughters! We have an 8 year old named Brynn, and a 4 year old daughter named Paige. We enjoy sporting events (mostly football), and anything DISNEY!! If we could live in Cinderella's Castle forever we would be okay with that!  We also have a Golden Retriever named Ladybug, and a Chocolate Lab named Brody. Our hearts are also filled with 2 bunnies and 18 chickens! Our dream is to live on a big piece of land and to fill it with a couple pigs, a cow, and about 30 more chickens! I enjoy running, working out, watching the show, "This is Us", and cooking new healthy recipes. Jasun enjoys woodworking, watching football, and wrestling with our girls. Brynn is our Ballerina and is currently working on learning how to do a cartwheel. Paige is our sporty girl. She loves to wrestle and is ready to take on any and all sports. She absolutely loves the color yellow.
